Is .5 worth it

Whats up guys finally got enough funds to start on my build looking at doing 4 DC lvl 5 15s (either D2 or D1) on 2 DC 7.5K. My electrical plans ar at minimum 2 singer 370a and 4 Northstar S480 (217Ah) and 2 of their G31(102Ah) up front. Was curious on yalls thoughts if this would be worth while to run at .5 or should I just go ahead and run it at 1ohm. Its gonna be more of a daily system walled in the back of my 99 x cab silverado. Thats why Im only runnin the 2 amps instead of say 4 3.5K I only have the one door. Thanks for the input

Stupid loud system to come

I kinda figured as much I knew that elec wouldnt cut it at .5 thats why I said my minimum I can always make the electrical side stronger just wonder if there is any real perk to wiring down to .5 especially for a daily aimed build

Lets say you have 2x rise, which isnt overly uncommon for ported setups..

If you wire to .5, without accounting for voltage drop, youd expect 15kwrms

If you wire to 1, without accounting for voltage drop, youd expect 9kwrms

so 1.6x the power wiring to one. This was all simply going off RMS ratings.

Hell, Daniel Crews and other gained by using less amps wired lower. Daniel has 4 DC 9ks wired to 1 per. He was louder with 2 at .5 per. Again, not uncommon.

If you have any concern for your fets, then obviously wire higher.

Whether or not the risk it "worth" the gain, thats user dependent, and nobody can answer that for YOU.

If you want to have higher numbers with the risk of damaging equipment then go half ohm. I don't see the risk being really high with your electrical as long as you aren't super dumb with your equipment.
