GS300Cali93
Ok guys I've seen on here about dual batteries and have a few questions What is the correct way to wire for dual batteries and how many fuses would I need and what size Right now only running 800 watts for two 15 but upgrading into he future to 1/0 on one 18 will have big three and high output alternator. Done before subwoofer upgrade but would like to have all the electrical done before hand 98 Subaru Forrester

Alex Coyne
How big of a high output alternator are we talking ? Dual batteries on a daily setup is usually done for someone who doesn't plan on getting an aftermarket alternator anytime soon A good quality alternator from Singer/DC along with a single good AGM under the hood should be good for 2500-3000 watts which is more than enough for an 18 Unless your chasing numbers aftermarket alternator with 1 good battery under the hood is more than adequate for most (it will easily power a beastly $500-700 18 inch woofer)

GS300Cali93
Sub size doesnt matter. How big of an Amp are you upgrading to? Thinking about dc audio 2k cuz it's 1200 watts at two ohms it's closer to the rms of the subwoofer
