I have been looking but I can't get a straight answer so ima ask here

I'm changing plans (again) and I'm considering going from a 1200 watt sub stage to a 2400 watt substage bringing me close to 3k total watts

My problem lies in what batteries I need as I have seen many recommendations/builds

-may03lt has 2400 watts and runs 3 d3400s

-according to Xs powers wattage gauge I need (if I'm reading it right) a d3400 and a ~d680

-on the same page as the wattage guide Nathan says one d1200 and two d3100 would be "least that for a 3k system"

-according couple pages later Scotti says" I would recommend replacing your stock batt with the best fit option and running D3100 in the back near the amps." In response to a 4500 watt question

So I hope y'all see my confusion and can help me out

Extra info:

Have a D3400 under the hood

Will be getting a 240 amp alt (mechman)

Have 1 run of 1/0 (sky high)

Will be doing big 3

Thanks for any help

Wired to 1 or .5? If 1, your alt alone will hold high 13s+.

Im running 3.5 k with 2 xs power d3400 in the trunk and 1 autocraft agm platinum batt under the hood. I could run full tilt and drop to 13.8 the lowest. I have a mechman 250 alt to.

With a D3400 already under hood, getting a 240 amp alt from Mechman, 1 run of 1/0 SHCA, and big 3 gonna be done for 2400 watts or even 3k with running the amp at 1 ohm I feel that you will be more than good man. I wouldn't hesitate to run that exactly as you say. Just always keep a close eye on voltage.
