Soundqubed HDC 212 Tuning

Good morning guys. My son just bought 2- HDC 212's and we are going to be building a box for him. I found a plan on here from a couple years ago that called for 4.9 cu. ft. tuned to 36 with 81.5 sq. in. of port area. Soundqubed recommends 4.75 cu.ft with a port 18.5" long for tuning above 40 and 76 sq. in. of port. I'm tempted to go with the 4.9 cu. ft box I found on here but was wondering how these subs perform with a lower tune say around 32?

They should be fine with the lower tuning. I'd much prefer a 32 hz tune to a 40 hz tune.

OP do you mean HDS 212? HDS series are different than the HDC3 series.

yea its the HDS and actually i found one that you designed and referenced in my 1st post. I would assume it works great but was just curious about the tuning.
