Head Unit constantly on?

So I decided to just go in a get both of the wiring diagrams together and connect the dots myself. As of right now I have the harnesses disconnected and figured out which wires go where. So basically, I'm just going to switch one hack-job to another one that works.

I'm too deep now to go back.

Got everything fixed (Temporarily until wiring harness). Recorded which wires he had connected to which. Then got the wiring diagrams for the car and stereo and just figured which one went where and connected them back. Stereo now turns off when the car does, and I have all the unused wires taped off and secured.

My last car had this problem from the previous owner, I would need to pop the face plate off before I got out of the car. I fixed this by running some speaker wire from my radio's 12v (usually red wire) straight to an accessory switch on fuse. Make sure its something with a decent sized fuse but it worked for me. Forgot exactly what I ran it to but just stay away from your important stuff like lights and such.
