Well I'm new in here!!!

looking at the specs of it it looks like it is more of a higher note style subwoofer, meaning it prefers high notes verses really low. It also plays nice in a larger box like the size of the one I have in my truck for my SMD. A box that size you would need to build in the trunk as there would be no way you could just slide it into the trunk and get it going. It isn't hard to build one in the trunk though.

It is really easy to build a box. Don't be discouraged by it. If you are decent with cutting up wood (whether it be a table saw or with a hand saw) and using a screw driver and drill, it can be done easily.

I have a homeboy who told me he would make me a box for free since he does construction work just so he can hear what 1 18" sub sounds like but I don't know if I should let him cause what would he know about specs and tuning etc etc... he probably don't even know how to do a port even though he told me he does.

sounds like it would be really tough and you prly wouldnt have as strong a box as you would have if you were able to get at it from all sides...

i thought about maybe even making a 2 piece box that goes in the trunk one piece at a time, and then fits together, but idk how you would be able to hold it together air tight... guess it could be done if you really wanted to

If you're looking for box designs, you may be better off posting your needs in the Subwoofers/Enclosures forum. Lots of great builders/designers there with lots of knowledge.
