Can't figure out how to post pics...but no way the sub would mount on front face,had to mount on top/left side...how is that gonna effect it? Is it junk now?

Don't know what went wrong but the cutout for the L5 12 is 11" and overall is 12 9/16" it should fit, anyways, the effect of running the sub up is going to be rattling or it will upset anything the sub is firing at, may or not be a big problem for you.

The cutsheet called for the front at 11.5" the cutout is 11 1/16"...so I wouldve been nearly cutting off the board and screwing the sub almost into the seam..another inch and the plans are perfect,that's not your fault it's mine..I appreciate your help..we built a box for 2 L7s off one of your drawings/plans and it was perfect. Now that I have my clearance issues addressed,gonna build another box based on your drawing,just an inch taller

It was a close at 13" but that's what you wanted at the time, if you want to keep the same spec of the other box but taller by 1", you can do the following:

The box shown above in the drawing by JoeX...the cutout for the sub was relocated to the top/left of the box...is it junk? I mounted the sub and put it in my trunk,it hits pretty good but how much better if I build another and mount it on the port side in the front as shown in the drawing? (This was done due to the front face too small)
