Jhensley209
I'm planning on building a slot ported enclosure for a single z v3 15" sub. My max dimentions are 32" wide and 22" deep and 16 1/2 deep
Triticum Agricolam
So is it 22" deep or 16.5" deep? You are double deepin'. Jhensley209
I would like to have sub and port back and tune low like 28 or 30hz.
Joe X
So here is a suggestion, power: to sub rated, amp subsonic filter to 28Hz, minimum port clearance 3 3/4", figure is just an assembly guide:NOTE: If building outside you need to build a cardboard dummy box to test fit in it's way inside. Jhensley209
I have a box this exact same dimentions but it is tuned to 35hz that I was using with my Soundqubed HDC315 but i thought it would be too big for the zv3 15.
Joe X
Same external dimensions doesn't mean it's the same spec, the longer 30Hz port likely takes more internal airspace, as posted above you will gain 1+ dB over the 3 net version at tuning, no other side effects. Jhensley209
I just measured the port and I think it is tuned way too high. The port is 4 1/2" wide and 15" tall and 22" long overall. Would I be able to add length to the port to get it down to 30hz?
