Static and shut off problem with 4 channel

you for sure need to disconnect the speaker wires from the head unit.

So that speed cable thing, you have it ran from the amp and tapped into your factory wires to power the speakers?

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

Yeah it was my fault I misunderstood the directions but like I said it was my first 4 channel amp install so I see how it works now. I had my speedwire basically hooked up as an addition onto my existing harness so all I need to do is disconnect the speaker +/- connections leading to my headunit and then my amp will be the only power source. I'll be reworking this tomorrow since I wanted to replace the RCA's with a nice pair instead of what I had laying around and I'm still waiting for the shipment so I'l see if everything goes well tomorrow afternoon and I should be up and running.

Question: Would these speaker wires be considered signal wires? So I should run it along the other side of my truck with my RCA's away from my power runs?
