JMCDONALD2390
So I'm looking to do a box redesign and I need a little help. I'm looking to go with a ported box for two Rockford P3D4-12's. My available space is 16 High, 37 Wide and 15 deep. I'm looking to tune at 30-35 hz . Any help would be appreciated. Triticum Agricolam
You probably need more space. JMCDONALD2390
According to Rockford 1.79 cubes per sub is optimal.
Triticum Agricolam
According to Rockford 1.79 cubes per sub is optimal. Yes, and you don't have that much space. Joe X
What's the vehicle?
sTp
Right i just punched your measurements in to Torres and you got a Gross volume of 4.02 cuft and that's without woofer displacement and the area for the port so you won't have enough room just like Triticum said. Is there anyway you can get some more room in your trunk?
JMCDONALD2390
It's going in a 2014 Dodge Dart. The depth could be increased, but I would need to assemble the box in the car.
Joe X
Here is a suggestion, firing back, don't think the 3 extra inches will be a problem for you but test it, power: to subs rated, amp subsonic filter to 28Hz, minimum port clearance 3 3/4", figure is just an assembly guide:NOTE: If building outside you need to build a cardboard dummy box to test fit in it's way inside.
