Noobie with Airspace problem

Ok so im pretty new to car audio and I figured I would ask somewhere I know people could answer what is probable a simple question, bare with me.

I have a 2012 VW Golf with a Dynaudio Package and newly installed Rockford Fosgate Prime 1200. I had the guys at Zenclosures build me a box with two chambers for two 10's the box they offer is here :http://www.zenclosures.com/2006-11-Volkswagon-GTI-Subwoofer-Box-p/vwgti0611.htm

Now I have 2 RE audio SR pro 10 in subs specs are here : http://reaudio.com/products/woofers_re_pro_sr.php

From what i gather i have far to much airspace for either sealed or ported, Would it be smart to try to fill the box with something to get rid of the air space? And at that point could i convert said box to a ported box ? Just wanted and idea on how to make sure i do it right.

With port displacement it might end up a suitable volume. If not, stick some 2x4 in as bracing to take up a bit more space.

i say rock the subs sealed in that box size, you will appreciate the freq extension, you are not running a ton of power so I wouldnt worry too much about over excurting the drivers.

The way the site has it worded its like 1.9^3 so i think thats only if i chose to put three subs? as the inside only has 2 chambers im guessing that means i have 2.85 per chamber

If you want you could add in 2x4's to take up space. it looks like you have 1.9 per sub so that is quite a bit more than what is recommended.

That stands for 1.9 cubic feet, not the number of subs

No no I know that but what I mean is the way its worded it could be per chamber or total its not really clear

It's very clear. It says total volume. The total volume is 1.9^3 so you have .95^3 per chamber with two chambers.

Are you sure? it uses the same description whether you choose 1x10, 2x10, 1x12, or 2x12.

Look at the box in the picture. That is the box. It looks to me like it is a 1.9 cubic foot box. Do you know how large a 5.7 cubic foot box is? (1.9 x 3) There is no way in hell that box is 5.7^3.

And it clearly states "total volume", not volume per chamber.
