99_Xploder Posted April 27, 2008 Report Share Posted April 27, 2008 to answer the original question, what most people think of as "fiberglass" is anything curved and painted. the curved shape generally is usually just for looks so someone doesnt have just a square box. The actual fiberglass mat part is added in layers to achieve the proper thickness for whatever speakers are used. then you can smooth it enough to wrap or have it painted that glossy look.
