12 inch sub

I am having to replace my current set up because my amp is dying. My current set up was a very cheap used set up to replace my old set up that was stolen a while ago.

My current subs are 2 x Memphis pr12d4v2s, in a Bbox E12DSV measuring at  (W) 30.00" x (H) 13.75" x (D) 17.25"

I am looking for a 12-inch sub around $250 +/- some, that is around 500-600 Watts RMS. The amp has not been decided because I would like to choose the sub first since that is the limiting factor. I can fit a box of up to that size in my car, but I think I am wanting to save some space in my trunk.

I have been pointed to the DC Level 2 sub, in the DC recommended ported enclosure of I think 1.5cu.ft and the Soundqubed hds212 ported, but that seems like it likes huge boxes. 

I have also been pointed to the Twisted Sounds 600.1 amp and the AudioPipe APCL16001D

Anyone have any recommendations for an amp and sub around 600 watts rms, that likes smaller ported boxes?

That is a very small box for two 12s, it should be about 2.4 net, even if you picked the DC Audio your box would need to be bigger, I wouldn't be surprised if you are not too impressed by your subs in that box.

I plan on making a custom box for the specific sub that I get. The DC Audio 12 is 1.25cu ft ported on their site. How big would you say? I gave the external specs of my current box to show what I can fit. any wides, it won't fit, and taller, maybe an inch
