Im running a pioneer fhx700bt, pioneer eq-6500, terminator tna250/1 mono, powerbass 12" 1204 single vc, alpine mrh-f255 5 channel (sub out not being used) and have no info on this amp, it was given tome for free, prv 6mb200 6.5 in front doors, pair of 10.00 tweets they sound good but I'm still un happy with them, alpines in the rear doors model unknown my dad installed them before he gave me this truck, they are super loud and clear, just installed a planet audio 3 way crossover to replace my kicker kx3 and the planet audio is far better than the kicker kx3, my highs are cleaner and my bass is tighter. right now I'm running 8gauge wiring with inline cap ( i know before i get flammed) it a boss 3.5 farad cap, it was from my old system witch was 2 12 pioneer champ series running 3000 rms in a hand picked enclosure from my local car audio dealer,it was very solid and weighed about 150lbs just the box, running all zero gauge power/ground. But back tony orig question, should i upgrade to 4 gauge. Deck is a pioneer mixtrax 700bt model And my baby my Pioneer EQ-6500 i got for 10.00 Back-up amps- Ma Audio 598i, kicker zr120, my highly under rated JBL LC-A502 1xx watt amp... On the side- Quantum tweets not yet installed
Skullz Posted February 6, 2017 Report Posted February 6, 2017 If your going to go through all that trouble, you might as well go with 1/0 for now and future proof yourself to a degree down the road. Kraken Posted February 6, 2017 Report Posted February 6, 2017 Might as well use 1/0 just in case. 4 would work, but if you decide to upgrade to sundowns like you said, 1/0 will already be there. You can always use bigger wire than you need, just dont use smaller... Alpine cde143bt/ Alpine ktp445u (4x45 amp) 2 Crescendo STS 1 (on alpine 4x45 on 2 channel mode) 4 Crescendo pwx 6.5's in front doors (Skar RP150.4) 1 Sundown zv3 12, SAE1500D. Box is 2.5 cubes tuned to 30hz.
