carsontinsley Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 Got a single XFL10 in a ported box. At certain low frequencies i can hear like air noise or something mechanical. I do not believe that it is hitting the low lows so im not sure why it does that. My guess would be that the box isnt tuned. Picture of the box right here https://plus.google.com/u/2/photos/photo/114081400313556938419/6411497485684434482?icm=false
slowfkncar Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 Possibly playing too far under tuning, a new enclosure would help you out.
Jessica Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 Could be port noise. Air velocity at tuning is pretty high and if the port is too small it will chuff. Your port ratio is too high so that is probably most of it. Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. Broke_Audio_Addict Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 See if you can feel air coming from around the edges of the subwoofer, if not then check all around the enclosure for leaks. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 Also, is that particle board? That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
