Two sundown SA 10s custom fiberglass enclosure

So as of right now I have two sundown SA10 D4s wired to one ohm in a fox acoustic box 1.25 cubic foot per side after sub displacement tuned to 35hz. I have the sundown SCV2000D pushing them. This is in an under the rear seat box in a 2015 crew cab RAM truck so space is limited. It sounds, good.. But definitely not the windshield flexing low bass I'm looking for. I have heard these sundowns in a 3 cubic foot box tuned to 25 and it is crazy, but its also in a car.. with the rear seat down. Will my truck ever sound the same or close? Even If I were to build a 3 cubic foot box and port it to 25hz? Or am I just throwing money at something that I can never change...

Space is probably going to be your biggest limitation.  The #1 design goal of those specialized underseat boxes is to fit in the space available well, and they do a good job of that.  Performance is generally sacrificed though.  Going from a 2.5 cu ft box up to a 3 cu ft box is only going to make a slight difference at best, where you will probably see the biggest improvement from a different box is a more optimal port layout.  The ports on the box you have now look really small.  Based on the amount of power you are running you are probably sacrificing a significant amount of output due to low port area.

Please keep in mind that the vehicle a system is in has as big of impact on performance as anything does.  No matter what you do I can't guarantee you will get the same results as what you experienced in a car.  With that being said I've seen plenty of crew cab trucks that get down and nasty, my point is just that nothing is promised.  

My suggestion would be think about what kind of space in your truck you are willing to sacrifice to the bass gods and let us know.  From there we can give you further suggestions.

I need to remain under the seat as I have kids and dogs that ride back there often. I figured I could gain some airspace with fiberglass as well as mold into the back wall of the truck gaining tons of airspace. I would have to pull the seats anytime I needed to do anything back there but I could mold this box to fill every bit of the space. I'm thinking 3 cubic feet per side as opposed to the 1.25 I currently have, or at least double the recommended. Was thinking I could use aero ports instead of slot ports possibly aiming into the back of the front seats? Or would the port noise be annoying? Should I split the chambers or run them out of the same port? IF, building a box does in fact make sense..

3 cu ft per sub is quite a bit high.  Sundown recommends 1.0-1.25 cu per sub, you could probably go over that up to 1.5 cu ft per sub, but I wouldn't suggest more than that.  Making the box too big risks damaging your subs.  I don't think you will be able to fit that much space under the seat anyway.  

To get more space you might consider raising your seat a few inches.

I have plenty of room extending further back, possibly extend the box back another foot? I will measure the room I have behind the box but I think its 1' by 3' on the passenger side and 1' x 2' on the drivers side. I will get back to you tonight with the exact measurements.

Yeah Ford I'm not sure how a dodge looks but u could remove whatever is in the way.

It would take a major surgery to remove the obstacles that is in my way. Its a HUGE metal wall that has been welded to the truck. I have seen it done but that is something I do not want to mess with. I will someday want to sell this truck haha!
