Box sealed or ported 15s

I'm looking at a few subwoofers 1000 rms ea I'm wondering if seal or ported would do better for daily use on all types of music and still be loud. 

 

Sub will be in trunk facing the cabin. Power will be a single 2500-3k or two rf 1200.1

Currently I have have two shok triton on 500rms sealed box is about 5.50-6cuft 

Also looking at a single 18 on the same power.

Thats quite a-bit of power, You'll get better low-end ported.

What about the upper end fq response? or does that depend more on the subs

Ported everytime when space allows.

Depends on port tuning, and several other things. Ts specs, environment etc.

How do you like your sealed box?

It's ok I feel like it doesn't do go on the lower end but that may be the amp and deck

I was looking at the x15 but can't seem to find information on rather or not they play well if tuned for a flat response 27-55
