d-nice88 Posted July 12, 2017 Report Posted July 12, 2017 Real quick question. I have 2 skar 10's and there fs is 41 hz. The box i have them in now doesnt really hit the lows like i want. Got it tunned to 41 hz. Can i make another box and tune it to like 35 hz and get better responce to the lower freq? Or would that just hurt the subs.

It won't hurt your subs any as long as you keep the box volume reasonable. Kyblack's suggestion of 31 hz is a good one. If you are going to the trouble of building a new box to tune lower you might as well tune low enough you won't have to change things again. d-nice88 Posted July 12, 2017 Author Report Posted July 12, 2017 Ok so when tunning lower then i can just keep the cubes per sub the same just make the port bigger in torres? Or does the volume have to be bigger to tune lower ?

You will need to increase your outside dimensions some to account for the volume lost to the longer port.
