ReportDevin Posted July 25, 2017 Report Posted July 25, 2017 Here's the situation. I'm trying to build a floor in the back of my GTI like what's in the picture. I have 2 DC Audio Level 2 12's that I want to utilize but I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to. I'd like the box to be ported as well. The problem is that there's very little space and I'd like to be able to make the floor as flush as possible. (EDIT) Updated the dimensions to the max that I can do. Dimensions: Length - 50" Width - 18" Height - 8" The guy who made this box(s) said they were SoundQubed HDS310's in their own ~1.25/1.5 cubic foot box. And his are also tiled towards the back because of how the seats were. Thanks for the help ahead of time guys.
Triticum Agricolam Posted July 25, 2017 Report Posted July 25, 2017 There is no way to make a ported box for two 12"s with the dimensions you gave, you don't even have enough room for one ported 12". You could probably run them sealed in that amount of space, but even then box will be a bit undersized. Now I either have to get smaller subs or go a different route.
77-AUDIO Posted July 25, 2017 Report Posted July 25, 2017 From the look of the pic with the subs installed the box looks like it angles up and is almost even with the arm rest on the door panels, so it looks like the box is at least 6" deeper than what you show. still might not be enough room but i am just saying. edit:. looks like his box when all the way to the back of the front seat. and if so thats even more room. since it will have the area of the floorboard as well.
