IzZy2Loud4U
Im transitioning my mids and highs to pro audio. The amp is a ct sounds 6 channel 250 watts per channel at 2 ohms, and i am toying with 2 4 ohm 6.5s in parallel or 4 8 ohm 6.5s in parallel. My question is what are people generally happier with, spread the power over more cone area or run max rms per driver?
ShadeTreeMechanic
I would say run over max rms and keep the gain low to keep it clean but I am only running one set of comps. 06RTCharger
My simple noob logic tells me 1 speaker matched with 100W rms power would be louder than 2 of the same speakers with 50W rms. Im sure it can be way more complicated than that tho.
