knowledge Posted April 30, 2008 Report Share Posted April 30, 2008 ok, so i have 2 rockford bd1000 amps in a master sleave setup, powering 2 12 inch dd 9500 witch are .7 ohms each doul voice coils, i wired all the positives together and the same with the negetives witch is a little over 2 ohms each i think, so my question is, is it possible to wire each sub to each individual amp down to a 1 ohm load or so with out the master sleave and get all the power from both amps???? If each coil is .7 then you just wired each sub down to .35 ohms, Rockford amps can't take that... If each coil is .7 there is no way to get 1 ohm out of each sub. You need to wire each coil in series (positive to negative) and subs in series and strap the Rockfords with the bd sync cable. Okay lemme break it down for you....if you wire one sub with dual .7 ohm vcs in series you get 1.4ohm in parallel you would get .35ohm a piece. edit: 1.4ohm would work for daily but it wouldn't be enough power for a 95 series.
