I got the rough shape cut for the panel, its time to figure out a layout. This is what i decided on. I wanted to show the face plate of the amps while still being able to connect them easily to the distro blocks and having easy access to the distros. Also wanted to show off the SMD pieces off a bit lol. See how my small amp has those internal power/remote/ground wires coming out of it, thats what made my options a lil limited because i didnt want to have to put an extension on those wires. There was an spot already there that just had a cover bolted to plug the hole. Tried to use grommets and make it the pretty way, shit didnt work. I just made my own lol. Some scrap DampPro around the metal hole then some OverKill foam to add some additional cushion and protection. View under in the upper footwell area. On the interior. View from the engine bay. 06RTCharger Posted December 17, 2018 Author Report Share Posted December 17, 2018 Found perfect routing for my power wire to reach under the back seat area easily. using some stock holes in the underseat bins brackets. Found those on accident, i was planning on routing the under the side trims all the way to the back and then around the seat brackets then back forward to the front of the amp panel. This new spot makes it way easier and i can trim the power runs way shorter. Power wire layout done, just need to trim it to length. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Without even setting up a fuse up front near the battery, i pulled my passenger seat and lifted the carpet and layed out my rcas, my speaker wires (which i CA glued into a flat bundle so its not bulky at all under the carpet) and also my remote wire. Ran the wires to the speakers and the rcas to the headunit. Got my 4 channel hooked up so i could listen to an amplified frontstage and YES it made a difference. Even though this lil 4 channel doesnt put out much power it sounded super clean. Specially with my Tidal music. This is what i rode around like for a while lol. See those scrap pieces of plastic? Those were strategically placed so that the amp doesnt slide side to side, and so that the ground block doesnt slide into and touch the power block lol smh this is how i drove around and listened to music everyday for a kinna long time lol. Needed better accuracy and more squared faces/edges on the cuts. Made these 0.5 inch thick strips as lifts for the seat. I needed more clearance for the amps. Using a table saw for the first time was scary AF! Lol i use band saws at work but something about that spinning wheel of death infront of me was pretty scary. It cut great tho, i used an 80T blade. 06RTCharger Posted December 17, 2018 Author Report Share Posted December 17, 2018 Drilled the bolt holes the ran them through a round over bit on the router. Rounded all of them then sanded them with some 320 grit sand paper. Then finished off with some 140 grit. Smooth enough for me. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
