Has anyone used the idatalink for 2008 dodge ram trucks.  and can it be used to connect to the obd2 port

PPI dbl din
DC Level 3
1.77cubes net tuned to 33htz.
DC audio 2.0k
CT Pro Audio 8" in front, 6.5 in rear

how is the obd2 connection made.  is it a plug in or do you have to wire it up.

See I have seen both,   but on one of the harnesses there are 2 unused wires and then on others the same wires connect to a plug that connects to the obd port.

Well I called them to ask about the wires, and the old style you had to tap into the obd2 wires, and the new plugs have the wires connected to a plug that connects directly into the obd2 port.

 

but I have to login and flash the unit fir the specific vehicle which is cool it reduces cost and can be used for any vehicle.
