Ok, i have a dayton hpsa 1000 r amp on my type r, wired at 4 ohms. Amp puts out a little over 1000 watts, which is plently for the r. Im thinkin about getting another dual 2 ohm type r, and wire it to the same amp, at 2 ohms. Since it only puts out about 500 watts at 8 ohms. What would have to be done to the amp to make it stable at 2 ohms??

This is my ht setup btw.

Best bet would be to get another amp.

It might work but it'd be clipping all to hell, it might go into protect, it might die. Who knows?

and my lights in my room already dim with just one amp.....

Would you be able to sell your current dual 2 ohm Type-R and buy two new dual 4 ohm Type-R's?
