jroo Posted October 10, 2018 Report Posted October 10, 2018 I just picked up a 12" type r at the local good will. It was in a q logic sealed box and will toss the box. Will Type R's do Ok in 4th orders? If so, has anyone ever modeled one? I would look for something that models closer to flat like my last 4th order. That one had a larger sealed section than a porter section.
Kraken Posted October 10, 2018 Report Posted October 10, 2018 I actually did put my 2 r 12s in my old 4th order, it was 2 cubes sealed i believe and 6 ported (iirc). tuned to 45hz i do remember that. they slammed but they definitely arent designed for a 4th order box. Alpine cde143bt/ Alpine ktp445u (4x45 amp) 2 Crescendo STS 1 (on alpine 4x45 on 2 channel mode) 4 Crescendo pwx 6.5's in front doors (Skar RP150.4) 1 Sundown zv3 12, SAE1500D. Box is 2.5 cubes tuned to 30hz.
