He is still breaking in the sub & fine tuning the settings on the radio, but it is loud as hell already. I set the gain @ half way on the amp & it hit 143 DB on my term-LAB meter with a 45 hz test tone! The volume was ony about half way up also. We will be metering it again on Saturday. We will get vids up as soon as we get it done. ouch man sumin musta went wrong with the 4 12's. i did a build for 4 cvr 12's for customer in cobalt(trunk car) did a 150.1 on TL of a zx1500.1... Instead of running dual alts it would be cheaper to pick up 2-4 big batteries. I ran 2200 watts RMS on one HC2400 and my voltage never droped below 13.2, and that was with my stock alt. Instead of bringing up that you know ohms law and being stuck in your own ways, try taking in what people have to say and you might end up with better results. GIMNICK Posted May 24, 2009 Report Share Posted May 24, 2009 Ok found out what was goin on i was clippin the shit out the sub i had the amp turned more then half way up and also had the HU turned up also !!! Got me a DMM and set it close as possible and sounds much better havnt got it metered yet again cause i blew the tranny up workin on gettin that fixed right now.
