Yea the only thing I would factor in is impedance rise and voltage drop but allot of people don't do that anyways. Thanks for clearing that up, nice vid too . Drew

You are 16 or 17 right, get it while you can brotha. Ahhhh those were the days. :01nocomment8so: Drew

How are you getting 30K watts out of 8-2500s? Even if each amp put out 3500 that's still only 28,000 watts. The only way I see 30,000 is with mids and highs amps added in. Oh yea, the nicest build here for sure although it's kind of expected from the founder. Tits. Drew

That DB Drive van looks nasty, happen to know what model woofers their running? Drew
  5. fearof85
This^^^^^ Reverse mounting the subs is actually better for the woofers as the heat from the coil is cooled off by the port. Wait till you build it and it stomps all over your current box in every aspect. Drew

I would say that they would both play pretty similar but mine looks like it is louder all around. I am working tonight but I will get you a cut sheet tomorrow or Saturday, just let me know what you want it tuned to. Try and lower my tuning to 44 hertz and watch the low end get nasty, I didn't know you liked C&S. Drew

The post above me looks like a decent design, I would do something like that with about 4 cubes ported though tuned to what ever suites your tastes. What kind off music do you listen to, chopped and screwed, rock, country techno? Drew
  8. fearof85
I'm telling you bro you want more than 2 cubes ported that is just insane. You will not get any low end and will have port noise like a mother fucker. Why would he tell you to use 2-3'' ports or one 6'', the 6'' is about the same area as 2-4'' ports so why even recommend 2-3''. I wouldn't even use 3'' pvc on a regular ported box. I have your max dimensions so if you are set on this design then that's fine, just don't be upset when your ported box has more output. Drew

Here's your bandpass if you can fit it. 1.6-2 cubes max sealed 4+ cubes ported tuned to 52hz with about 100sq.inches of port area. Make sure you port it through the rear deck and I don't know what kind of music you listen to but if you like those low low notes try tuning mid to high 40s. If you want to give me your max dimensions I could get a cut sheet for you. Drew

So he would be better off running both runs for power and grounding everything to the chassis, is that correct. Drew
  12. fearof85
I just called this guy a moron because I always used the rule of one run per 3000 watts and ground to the chassis.( I know you guys like one run + & -) I have one run of 1/0 to a 210 Ah battery for 600 watts. So I guess you can call it overkill but in my eyes if you spend all that money on amps, subs, and batts then why not wire. Drew
  13. fearof85
Basically he has two runs of 1/0 to the batteries then from there he has it split to the rest of his system. One run of power, one run of ground. He said that the one run of power is sufficient because all it does is charge the battery bank, from there the batteries take over the 900 ampere current draw. I have always known to run multiple runs if running more than 4000 rms but if what he says is true then I'll have 30ft of 4/0 for sale shortly. Drew
  14. fearof85
Am I a moron or is there something wrong with this wiring diagram? He has 6000+ watts on his subs and 2k rms on his mids and highs all ran off one run. Drew

Correct me if I'm wrong here but isn't charging 12 volt batteries at 15+ volts bad. I don't know much about MLA but it seems it would shorten the lifespan of the batteries if it constantly charged at above 15 volts. Drew

Kinda funny actually, but sad at the same time. Everyone needs to just chill out before the ban-hammer gets dropped. Drew
  19. fearof85
I would lay that box down, it might be louder with subs up.

Yea, those BTL's are gonna be worked for sure. I bet your glad those amp use system link, setting the gains individually would be a bitch. Drew
  23. fearof85
151.8 thats my guess and that is some scores off of 1000 watts.
  24. fearof85
    More? Drew

What does getting head have to do with her poker face, I don't get it? Drew
