k58.cross
I saw a new speaker on the Deaf Bonce website that is 2700Wrms and plays up to 4500 Hz... https://deafbonce.com/speakers/apocalypse-ap-w124 What the hell would that sound like? For that matter, what would 250Wrms into 1 kHz sound like? Blow my ear drums?? Or is this going to be the secret to the best sounding metal ever? slowfkncar
Dang a 12" midbass with a 4" coil, i would imagine a bit of roll-off in the upper end. 250rms at 1khz probably wont be all that impressive on a driver like that but who knows? White Lightning
My mid bass drivers run from 70 htz to 2000 htz on my 2 way setup. They look nice, but won’t work for any of my applications ... Kenwood / HELIX / Linear Power (For The Love Of Music) / Brutal Sounds / OverKill Electric Co Questions About Sound Quality ?? k58.cross
Reason I'm wondering is because even running 4 Ohm components on a 50W per channel amp I can turn it up loud enough to hurt my ear drums. So I'm wondering if putting high wattage into midrange to high frequencies is hurting/dangerous or if it works out somehow. Anyone with experience can you chime in? I haven't installed high power mids/tweets yet.
