English27 Posted June 9, 2019 Report Posted June 9, 2019 Have a skar zvx8 in a 4th order. It’s on a soundqubed s1-1250. Question is sub is rated at 900rms and have it wired at 2 ohms and the amp pushes 860rms at 2 ohm. The bass knob has the clipping indicator and when listening to my flash drive with dj rusticals the clip light will flash on, not fully stay lit just flash on mainly on notes that punch harder if that makes any sense
Mike4068 Posted June 9, 2019 Report Posted June 9, 2019 That's normal when pushing your amp to its limit. As long as it is just flashing quickly here and there you are OK. If it is staying on or constantly flashing lower your volume or reset your gains.
image91 Posted June 9, 2019 Report Posted June 9, 2019 How is your current situation? What's your voltage like at full tilt? Do you have your bass frequencies heavily EQd? Bass boost or Loud features on on deck or amp? Getting any smelling or excessive heating up from sub or amp?
