jessdabest77 Posted July 25, 2019 Report Posted July 25, 2019 I have to sundown rev 3-12 dual 2 I'm going to run on a 2200 watt amp at half ohm and wondering what would be the best ported box for those subs with good electrical and power it's going in a 2010 Volkswagen Passat and wondering if it should be a side port or a middle Port I'm not going to seal it off I'm just going to go aim it towards the rear. Dimensions in trunk are 16" height x 30.5" wide x 24.5 depth. I would love for real low bass.

DiBo Posted July 25, 2019 Report Posted July 25, 2019 That's pretty tight for 4ft³ box. Mine was 36x14x24 with 60in² port. Was exactly 4ft³ with double baffle. You can get away with 3.75ft³ tho with good power.

DiBo Posted July 26, 2019 Report Posted July 26, 2019 Centerport takes slightly more material though... Side port will make the box a tad bit smaller but not much. Reason being is a side port shares three common walls instead of just two.
