chinoguap305 Posted October 8, 2019 Report Posted October 8, 2019 sup guys chino here , im new to the forum but a true audiophile ! seeking some advice to power my subs ive been running for the past two years on a pioneer gm-d9601 only because it has a bass knob that came from factory with it and also doesnt sounds bad at all doesnt miss a beat , i mostly listen to rap , hip hop , country and sometimes the wife likes spanish hiphop (reggaeton) . just looking to see who out there has had or has a set of these two subs and whats the max powered 1 ohm stable amp with a bass knob your using . specs of the speakers say they can handle 1000w rms each but i honestly dont want to hit them with nothing more than like 800w rms a piece . what do yall think ? these are by far the best subs ive owned to date and trust my youth was FULL of different car audio equipment haha !
Mike4068 Posted October 8, 2019 Report Posted October 8, 2019 I had a type r 15 rated at 750 rms. I had it on a kicker kx800.1 and it loved it. That amp put out 948 watts.
AaronT Posted October 8, 2019 Report Posted October 8, 2019 You can put a knob on any amp Put those on a nvx vad 1700.1 mono block. They do over rated and clean and cheap
SkarredSierra Posted October 8, 2019 Report Posted October 8, 2019 Since you can only run those at 2 ohms id say get a skar audio rp 2k. Good quality and does over rated. Budget price imo.
