I am trying to connect my phone to the stereo Bluetooth and it won't even open the section, when I go to settings and try to press the Bluetooth option it's greyed out and won't allow me to select it, in the connection area it also won't allow me to select USB, phone or anything, please help I have tried for ages and I just can't get it to work, all connections are set correctly and been checked by a stereo shop yet nothing

You can attempt a firmware re-flash, if it still dont come back then the internal bluetooth chip probably crapped out.

are there other options that are greyed out?  if so, you may need to engage the parking brake (assuming it's properly wired up) to enable the options.  i know pioneer you can't adjust certain things, or even do the firmware updates, without the parking brake engaged or a parking brake bypass installed.  that was how i overcame a similar issue with mine.  parking brake bypasses are super cheap on amazon or ebay.
