Did 156.9 @ 43 Hz tonight.  Pretty low frequency, was expecting up near 49 Hz.

Get the mods done to the box, and I hope to have the 160 I am looking for. . . .

Killed a sub. Sounds to me like the cone came lose from the voice coil former.

sounds like you need recones.

umm resin your box, maybe you will go back up a couple hz

over excursion ftl.how big is the box again?

Funny, the first time we metered this setup it peaked at 49 Hz.  Now peaking at 43.  You can tell pushing on the cone the spiders really loosened up.  Funny, my first set of cones were triple spiders.  I just found out when I took this one apart it is quad spiders.

Box is 14 ft, but when I make Marshall's mods, it will only be 11.

I think I am going to recone both subs with dual .7 ohm coils.  I hope with impedance rise, the amps will handle it.  that alone should make for a nice SPL improvement.

you will have to roll on higher freq, 50hz and up.. well i hade to do that at .6

glad to see your making the enclosure smaller, i was gonnatell you to do that but didnt want to get you mad..

umm and what does that change your freq to?

i thought all 18's were 3 spiders. I know the 15's are quad's but wow .. hell i even asked for quad's on my 18's and got fed a load of crap.
