I'm sure its shocks too. I think the best situation for a trunk like that is a band pass box. 4th order, which would consist of building a sealed chamber for the woofers to play out of firing into a ported chamber. So basically the only sound your gonna hear is the sound from the ports which will be ported through the rear of the car.
