Jcoleman134 Posted May 9, 2008 Report Share Posted May 9, 2008 Ok well i made the mistake of ordering an 18" Fi BL with flatwind and extreme leads. the flatwind is fine but i rea the extreme leads is only for the SPL option. will the BL be ok? Decaf Posted May 9, 2008 Report Share Posted May 9, 2008 if u want an honest answer... the likelyhood is you will end up with tinsel slap (which sounds bad) and that slapping will rub the felt pad away, and eventually go through the cone if you are moving massive amounts of air ie: 26hz playing all day the option is used for spl, where xmax usually isnt anywhere near achieved, thus the woofer doesnt move enough to cause slapping try to contact scott asap and see if you can switch Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
