TheMusicBox
So should I set the gain by ear or use a MM?
AaronT
I'm assuming when you set the amp at 44 volts which is just a tad under 2,000 Watts that you had the DECA set to all flat? now if you played with any settings on the deck after you said everything up like that is some EQ or anything like that you're definitely going to change the input voltage going to the amplifier and it's not going to be putting out 44 volts in the morning it's going to be putting out more, which is going to put you into the clipping area
TheMusicBox
My volume goes up to 40 I only go to 34-35 which is clean for my head unit. And yes it was completely flat. Do you think I should recalculate the voltage setting for around 1500 watts? For the zvx 15 which is RMS for this sub?
TheMusicBox
Another question is should I use a 40hz tone to set the gain?
AaronT
Yes you should use of 40 Hertz test tone if you didn't use that what did you set with? And what is the model number in Brand of the hu?
AaronT
And after you set your head unit flat are you listening to music EQ on or anyting because if you change any going to increase the voltage
AaronT
If you're going to use any EQ settings or anything like that you better set your amp with those settings on and not flat
