AaronT
Think this amp can take it? After rise it shouldn't see anything that low, but once it gets low enough frequency, it could see that for a brief second My options are 4 CT sounds meso 8s, at 1.4 ohm or .35 ohm. Each pair of subs in parallel is .7 ohm. Series parallel gives 1.4. I can wire up box straight parallel and have .7 at each of the 2 terminals, which I can series for 1.4 or parallel for .35 Or I can wire up box series parallel for 1.4 ohms at each terminal and have only the option of parallel to amp for .7ohm If I parallel everything in box it will take 2x the amount of 10g wire, and be a touch more difficult as I have to solder up 8 more leads (already have 8 from current 2 sub box done) Doing the series parallel I can use my current 8 leads that Are made up and just use short pieces to series each subs coils. What's your guys thoughts? Would the amp even take .35? Us it worth the possible murder of the amp to get a bit more power? Or should I just stick to 1.4 and call it a safe day? bcbrassard
It will just go into protect mode. Designed that way so they don't blow up.
