Mosin Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 Okay so in my buddies ride (has 2 twelves, being pushed by around 500rms, ported pre-fab box all firing toward the rear.) Its just a Chrysler New Yorker with subs and port firing toward rear. Now what we ant to know is if its better to push them closer to the cabin and fire them at the trunk or push the,m as close as I can to the trunk, firing toward trunk? No exceptiions! Derp.

banginAltima Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 The ONLY way to tell which way is better is to meter it. I know that mine would pound like h*ll pointing back but I get better numbers pointing forward. Also when pointed back i got flex like you wouldn't believe but point it forward and I get all most no flex. If you build it, db's will come... Mosin Posted May 11, 2008 Author Report Posted May 11, 2008 Okay Thanks for all that guys But im looking more towards just having them close to the cabin or closer to the trunk lid. Both times firing at the trunk. Derp.
jack Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 for spl fold down the seat and fire to the cabin... for sound q it will most likely sound better with box forward subs firing back because of the acoustic properties of sound waves the further away you are from the driver the more frequencies will be accurately produced. Ipod Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 for daily, i would keep the back seat up and have the sub facing the trunk lid.. thats pretty much the same set up as i have. Hustle hard, Stack paper, It's alright, ya'll haters, It's nothing, We major, You see me, Hi Hater! =) ~ Manio
