Anyone see a problem with using an AC power inlet plug ?

Recommended Posts

I want to hardwire my xs power hf1215 charger into my car and have its ac input plugged into this ac inlet plug normally put onto a RV or something.

Thinking of just hiding it under my rear bumper or something so I can just hook up my extension cord to that and flip a switch to charge batteries overnight. No feeding an extension cord through my door seal and hoping it doesn’t rain...

ac power inlet looks like this: it’s a male plug that has a female end that would go inside the car to the chargers male end. I’d mount the male portion on the exterior then run the rest into the car through some kind of grommet or silicone to seal it off

anyone see any issues with doing it like this?

Nope none at all. Just make sure you're extension cord fits into the male end housing

Overlooked that. Thanks!
