meade916
The original screen that came with my new 1500w Laguna fiber laser was about as annoying as it gets for me. While the vertical screen looked cool in the pics i couldnt stand using it. I landscaped it out with a new 34” Widescreen and mounted an articulating arm ti the side. The keyboard platform it originally comes with is equally annoying. Just enough room for a keyboard but no mouse. I fixed that too (with my other Laguna CNC of course) Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! meade916
I opened up the side panel and saw a little tower in there that runs windows 10 and a program called Cypcut, the software the laser runs off of. Then i saw the HDMI cord running that hideous stock screen....i knew right the. it was time for a change. I actually used my Amex points (i had a lot saved up) and put a Viewsonic 3440x1440 monitor at each laser (i have 4). This one got one too. meade916
that keyboard platform though...thanks or leaving no room for a mouse. I dont mind using my pant leg once in a while but not every day. I fired up my CNC and whipped up the perfect solution. I used lightweight HDPE since i had a spare scrap nearby. meade916
I LOVE it now!! i can see what i am doing finally. Plus i can run the program and pull up files from my email since i networked the PC in to the rest of the PC's. I also spotted a slot for a video card in that little tower. I might have to put one in it so this can be even better. It's funny, but the onboard graphics on the OEM tower is pushing that 3440x1440 monitor just fine. I mean it's at 24hz and all but it's good for the laser software and some basic computer use. That's all i use it for anyway. Today i cut out an alternator bracket for Mechman (something he is working on). I cut thru the 1/4" steel like it was nothing. This laser is awesome! I'll definitely want one of them Man and off topic, but I just installed my singer bypass voltage booster harness today... Finally seeing 14-14.5 volts. Loving it. I saw the video you made about it for your Lexus from a while ago. That thing is great so far.
