Tomc3433
In one of the YouTube videos you ran 4 750w subs in parallel. You said you need a 3600w amp. Im trying to figure that out. Won't 3600e blow the 750w subs? Or do you get more handling because they are in parallel. I'm asking because I've got 2 12 750w subs in parallel with a 700w amp. Does that mean I could actually put a 1500w amp to them and get more thump?
Dafaseles
That rms wattage is spread out between however many speakers are wired to the amp. Wired in parallel or series only effects the ohm load of the voice coil or coils 2011 Chevy Silverado under construction My build log here. Check it out! Joshdashef
What he said ^ you can under power a sub and it will still play you can over power a sub and it will still play, but overpowering leads to heat so you won’t want to daily a 750 rms sub with 5k, but you could burp it for a competition SMD Tool Map (2022): https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/220267-smd-tool-map-2022/ My Port Size Calculator (in progress): https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/217087-port-size-calculator-in-progress/ Common Port Walls for a Slot Port: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/217076-common-port-walls-why-it-matters-to-your-box/?tab=comments#comment-3240313
