Gatorcity
so...i just bought a fat fancy hamster...put it in a 20 gallon aquarium and now i need a stand built for it...the only real "woodworking" i have ever done is with mdf for sub boxes...never really did any cabinetry type stuff before...so i need some suggestions on wood types and sizes...if some ppl need a design or dimensions im sure i can put them up...but i more interested in the types and sizes...thanks!!! mrwigglezdj
just use what youre use too, 3/4 mdf and some 2x4s would work, and with the use of mdf you can cut curves and make it look wild with different lines ect. and with the add'd use of the 2x4s it would even hold the weight of water in the tank if ever done Quote Americas loudest work van2006 iasca heavyweight bassboxing champion at 150.4 db with 60second average TL8 memphis PR15s,12 memphis PR6.5's coax,4 memphis PR 1inch tweets

trainman0978
poplar is really easy to work with. Doesn't stain well though. Oak and maple are very hard woods, and are alot harder to "work" with.
