HomegrownHD
I have 2 kicker comp VR 15s in a rather large sealed box. I like running them inverted but I have never done so in a sealed box. I believe from past systems I’ve had that inverting a sub has better results in a ported box. I understand that it is not possible to have a successful conversion from sealed to ported with the basket inside the box due to not enough space, but if I were to invert both subs freeing up space (a lot of space) in the box and put either a vented port or 2 blow ports in front of the box be a possibility? I’m thinking this could not only work but work rather well and plus save money since I am wanting a ported box. Ideas..

BumpedCX5
You could do an external port depending on what kind of airspace your subs need. I'm going to hazard a guess that if the enclosure is made to spec (for sealed) then inverting your subs won't free up enough airspace to make up for what the port takes up. Like @SnowDriftersaid though post up some dimensions and maybe it'll be close enough.
