Sub Recommendations

I’m looking for a 12”Sub thats rated for around 800 watts RMS to place in a sealed enclosure. Enclosure isn’t built yet so any will work.
Prefer dual 2 ohm.
Not really wanting to get into the higher powered subs. Wanting to stay around 800-1000watts rms.

It's your system, and I'm not telling you how to run your equipment, but why dual 2?

Depending on vehicle, but most vehicles can handle a 1500 watts on stock electrical.

If you're planning on upgrading later, do you want to buy the sub you want now? So you can either run a larger amp on it later, or purchase a second one later... or 3 more...I don't know how deep you want to go. Basically, planning now for an upgrade later will save you money in the long run. Money you can put towards more electrical upgrades, higher quality equipment, or, I guess you could spend it on food....I guess lol.

Again, I'm not trying to tell you how to plan your system, just sharing what I've come across.

Ok, so you want an 800-1000 watt 12" sub to run at 1 ohm off an RP1500.1D..... until you upgrade the amplifier?

If I understood this right, you wouldn't be gaining anything by upgrading the amp, and keeping the same single 12. The Skar amplifiers might get a bad rap, but honestly, they do their rated power. I don't see any reason to upgrade the amplifier for your setup.

If space is an issue, your enclosure is going to be the most important part of the equation. Have you measured to see how many cubic feet you're willing to give up?

Here are some subs to check out

There are a lot of options at that power level. All these brands are known for their quality. You wouldn't go wrong choosing any of these, as long as you have the room.

Measure how much space you're willing to give up, then match the sub to that. Just look at the manufactures recommendation for a sealed enclosure, and that'll get you close.

Right now It’s just going to be on a Skar 1500.1 until I can buy better.

These are very adequate for sealed and in your power range:

Image Dynamics IDMAX12D2V4 (sound quality, higher price).

NVX VCW124. (small box, very low price).

RE Audio SEXv2 12 (larger sealed box, need to know where to find).

Since ported is the way to go for output, some subs can work in really small ported boxes:

DC Audio level 3 12

Audio Dynamics AD4212

You may want to post your max dims for a box got get a better picture of what you can get or not.

I have never heard it personally, but the SQ guys I talk to, swear by it. If they're not doing an infinite baffle, they always recommend the SQL, or an Adire Audio subwoofer. I didn't include an Adire Audio sub in that list because, well, I forgot about them. You can check their subwoofers out as well. Another quality SQ brand.... also, another one I forgot was Audio Frog. Of course, all these are coming to my head now, after the fact lol.
