Nate197
What is the formula for calculating wiring configurations instead of using the woofer wiring wizard or any program. I am curious about how to wire like 12 subs and I need the formula. Thanks
hotshot27
i am pretty sure its; parallel 1/x = 1/n1 + 1/n2 + 1/n3 + ...... where x is the final ohm load and the n's are the impedance of the loads your are wiring in parallel series x= n1+n2+n3+..... x is final ohm load, n's are the loads you are wiring in series. Stephen
x is the resistance per coil and RT is resistance total, for series you just add them you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be. hotshot27
x is the resistance per coil and RT is resistance total, for series you just add them same thing, different format [this one is simpler] Current Setup: Factory HU with LOC mids/highs-Insignia components Sub- E8 in bass tube Amp- sae-1200d Show Setup: HU-Sony MEX-1HD (brings massive respect for sony) fronts - Infinity Kappa perfect comps rears- Infinity Kappa coax mid/high amp - Autotek 5600 Subs - 2 RE SE 15's Sub Amps - 2xSAE-1200D Box - 5cubes sealed Wire- Lots of Knu 1/0 SECOND SKIN
Nate197
Can you show me an example with two dual 2 ohm subs. Thanks
hotshot27
depends on what you want for a final load. all series = 8ohms = 2+2+2+2 series and parallel = 2ohms = [1/ { (1/2)+(1/2) } ] + [1/ { (1/2)+(1/2) } ] all parallel = .5 ohms = 1/ [ (1/2) + (1/2) + (1/2) + (1/2) ] this is really confusing i know, maybe you can follow the parathesis [sp?] Current Setup: Factory HU with LOC mids/highs-Insignia components Sub- E8 in bass tube Amp- sae-1200d Show Setup: HU-Sony MEX-1HD (brings massive respect for sony) fronts - Infinity Kappa perfect comps rears- Infinity Kappa coax mid/high amp - Autotek 5600 Subs - 2 RE SE 15's Sub Amps - 2xSAE-1200D Box - 5cubes sealed Wire- Lots of Knu 1/0 SECOND SKIN
