maademperor
nice price on the 1000...I've got an rs900lcd that I've got to get installed. I did a bit of research on Autopage and couldnt find too many people with bad things to say about them. lotta car audio forums with people running this brand to protect thier expensive stuff (including one of steve's builds: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...ic=208&hl=)

I am out.
raytard
DEI+professional install=lifetime warranty just my 2 cents. No complaints on my sst system, works flawlessly, alerts, and has a neat-o little orange light behind the screen. jnmario
If you bring a d.e.i alarm to a shop that did not sell you the alarm and they install it and later something goes wrong they DO NOT give you a lifetime warranty.Sorry alarms do not have lifetime warranties.Especially if the alarm WAS NOT BOUGHT AT THE SHOP WHO INSTALLS IT.As would have been the case with the original poster who I believe was buying the alarm offline. REVOK1NER
It looks like a good alarm and I have heard good things but I stick to CompuStar on my cars. I have the Viper 7900 on my Dodge that it came with and it doesn't work sometimes I am not sure whats wrong with it. jnmario
Listen certain parts of an alarm may be warranteed but my point is if you bring a alarm bought elsewhere into a shop they prob. wont back their INSTALL or ALARM PARTS.If they are your people then they might get ur back but in general shops are only trying to back alarms that they sell you from my experiences. At least thats the attitude here in NY with the jokers I've dealt with.
