Going in protect mode

So I have a sundown xv3 12 when I put it parallel to drop it from two ohm to 1 or .5 it hits for a second nice thump then amp hits Protect mode dropped the gain all the way down and still hits Protect mode but if I keep it at 2 ohms it works fine anyone know whats the dill the amp is a Blaupunkt AMP5000D

Your amp is just not 0.5 ohm stable, don't keep trying as you may damage it. Also no need to wire at 0.5 the sub is 2000W and the amp can source 3000W at 2 ohm.

 

If you are not getting a lot from the sub try getting better electrical and a better enclosure design and set your gains correctly.

Kool that helped just lost myself because had my l7 kicker at .5 and it slammed on the same amp that's what threw me off but it's kicking again just need better box that's it yo thanks for alls input
