You are gaining half a cube from reverse mounting the subs so the 1.5 cubes left are very little difference so give the old box a try, you have nothing to lose.

 

Pick a worthy amp and feed it with a worthy electrical, that is actually what is going to make a difference.

Gotcha. I have a 400 amp mechman alt with 3 Oddesy ODXAGM3478 with 3 runs of 0/2 pure ofc welding wire.  I'll be getting a Soundcubed Q-1 6000.1.  It will do 6000 plus rms at 1 ohm.  Box raise may be around 1.33 ohm, but no concern there.  So I should be good.

Let us know how it went, you should gain about 3dB for doubling power, see if that is loud enough for you.

Update: @Joe Xusing the box you designed for 4 old school Memphis Mojos worked well with the new Memphis Mojo., After I upgraded my Soundqubed 4500.1 to Soundqubed 6000.1 and breaking in the new Mojos...it hits crazy hard and still sounds musical.  Although the new Mojos are recommend to have 2.5 cubes of space, overall 10 cubes, instead of 8 total cbes for r the one built. I may gain a little more +dbs, but I think I'm good.  I will try to posts pics and maybe a video.  Thanks again for the box design.

You have ample port area which is extremely important, tighter volume is good for fast bass and musicality which some people prefer over maximum output, still I was ready to draw the 10 cubes box but you didn't ask, as before you can reverse mount the subs to seek that extra output if you decided to test that, pics or whatever you want to share are welcome specially to inspire others.
