Custom box

I'm new around the fourm and new to custom audio. I've had systems since I was young teenager and installed everything myself over the years , well after 26+yrs not have a car system , ive recently aquired some car audio again. I've built a few different boxes for few different subs over last year without doing any specific tuning. So i have a single ds18 zxi15 2ohm and I found a box online with the deminsions and then I modified deminsions just little and having hard time tryin find out what it's tuned at. It's a front mount front slot port and outside deminsions ended up being 30w x 17H x 19D.  With L port 25-27L x 15.5H mouth of port 3in wide.  Port is on right side of box on front and speaker is almost as far left as it will go on front.    It's on a 3k watt amp but I don't use it to it's full potential. It hits hard and sounds good and plays the lows better than anything I've had in past , it dosent play the higher bass like I'm used to with 10 or 12 in subs.  What used to sound good with 12inch sub now dosent really have much bass with the 15 now and the songs that had real low bass I didn't play loud cause sounded like It would blow speaker or it distorted and just didn't sound good with the 12 , the 15 in the box plays those with authority.  Is it just the difference in the 12 and 15in subs?   Would like know tuning and if I was to make the port 1.5 or 2 inches wide instead 3 what that would do to the tune.   Anyways I don't have any of the fancy software and the free box websites really ain't much help.   Hope yall don't hammer me to hard here.  The box is built and in use but I haven't glued the top piece so I could take it off and adjust (add wood or add/shorten the length ) to port if needed.  Thanks for any help

Nevermind. I got it figured out , ended up taking box apart and shorten width and changing port and made huge difference,  I set it at 35hz and it definitely hits harder. I think i had box about to big for what I wanted Anyway

id get a different sub for ported.  that things likes sealed.  id look into Fi
