jimmieJNS Posted April 22 Report Posted April 22 (edited) I have a dd-1 and a lc7i, when tuning lc7i the gains are all the way up with no Distortion. I believe is 8.5 volts? I have 4 sundown audio salt amps that say 6 volts on the gain dial. Am I suppose to lower the voltage down on the lc7i to 6 volts? Which means i would also need a multimeter to measure the volts cause my dd-1 doesnt read volts? Or am I just to use the dd-1 on all equipment until Distortion light goes out? Amps are salt-3 is 3000 watts, salt 200.4 x 2, salt 200.2, and three way front is sa-6.5cs.v3 and 2 way rear sa-6.5cs.v3 subs are sa classic d2 x 4, and i have a precision power frx246 crossover, this crossover over only has front and rear inputs so I have no need for channel 3 on lc7i. I'm using front speakers on channel 1 and rear on channel 2, do I set both channels with a 1000khz -5 tone since not using the bass channel, bass is handled at the crossover? Also front stage and rear stage are roughly rated at 125 watts do I turn amp down to match speakers, subs are rated at 750 each x 4 = 3000watts so that 1 is fine to level match with amp? crispy_chick3n Posted April 22 Report Posted April 22 you would want to match the lc7 output voltage to what your amps input voltage can handle. after that use the dd1 to tune the amps. also i would get rid of the ppi external crossover as the lc7 has crossover, as well as your amps have a crossover built in. its redundant, another place for failure to occur, and honestly not necessary. jimmieJNS Posted April 22 Author Report Posted April 22 I am trying to figure out a way to rid the external crossover and use the amps ,but I need more rcas than I have. i have 12 channels, I thought about a rca distribution block but unsure of their capabilities Lc7i does not have a crossover Quote

jimmieJNS Posted April 30 Author Report Posted April 30 So does not one on this site have any answers for me, I need to know what to tune next in my equipment. I'm using an lc7i from my headunit to lc7i ( not using subwoofer output ,channel 3) to an external 6 way crossover, 12 channels. The crossover has the output for the subwoofers. Please read rest of questions above. Quote
